I have been teaching guitar since 1989. This has been a very satisfying and productive part of my career. I currently teach two days a week at Mills Music in Bellevue, WA and three days a week on Mercer Island.

My teaching is enhanced by the fact that I am also a performer and songwriter. I am currently writing a solo album, hopefully to be released this year (2005). I have a few minutes of music as underscore for a Triathlon video released last fall. My many years of performing in various styles gives me a realistic attitude about what a student needs to know to actually go out and play.

To help keep students and their families informed I have begun publishing a (more or less) quarterly newsletter. It's just one page with maybe a couple of items of interest and the teaching schedule for the coming few months.

Scheduling a large number of students is always exciting. I try to keep everyone informed if I won't be available on certain dates by including a calendar with my newsletter.

I generally see more than forty students per week. I have only a very limited selection, if any, of available times. If you are interested in lessons, contact me..
